Seasonal Things To Do During Autumn

Hello everyone and Happy Monday! How have you been?

The darker evenings have arrived, and the orange vibrancy of leaves surround us as they fall from the trees to the ground. Pumpkin spiced lattes populate café tables as the morning air hints an earthly aroma. There is no doubt that Autumn is here! However, despite the comforting homeliness of Autumn, the rainy weather and shorter days may understandably take a toll on our mental wellbeing! So, I have created a list of things to do in Autumn and I thought I would share it with you! I hope it will inspire you and help you to enjoy the autumnal atmosphere.

A roaring fire with a silky hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and marshmallows, wrapped around a fluffy blanket in cosy pyjamas. Spend your autumnal night watching your favourite movie or reading a good book. Relax, switch off from life’s busyness and embrace the autumn season from the comfort of your own home.

Go on a leisurely stroll, either alone or with someone. Nature is so beautiful, particularly during this time of year! I often switch off my phone during these kind of walks as it feels so refreshing and enriching to live in the present moment and absorb natures beauty. From the changing leaves to the fallen conkers and the crisp, morning air – an autumnal walk does the mind a world of good!

What better way to spend an Autumn weekend?! Wrap up warm, find a local pumpkin patch and pick out some pumpkins with family or friends. It’s a great activity for Autumn and is a great excuse to get out of the house.

Lighting the fire, with a cup of tea nearby whilst creating potential shapes and faces to carve into your pumpkin – you can’t beat it! My family and I often have competitions for ‘who can carve the best pumpkin’ and that makes it really fun.

There’s something so warming about baking during this time of the year, filling the kitchen with freshly baked goodness. Carrot cake, apple crumble/pie and cinnamon rolls are all perfect bakes for Autumn, so definitely look into some recipes!

So, there are a few of my suggestions for activities to do during this time of the year. I hope it’s given you some inspiration to plan a few things over the next couple of weeks.
