Healthy Smoothie Recipe


Hello everyone, how are you?

Friday is finally here and it’s the weekend! I’m sure you’ve been working hard, so now it’s your time to chill, relax and put your favourite TV programme on! Do you have any nice plans this weekend? My family and I are driving to see some old family friends of ours, so we’re going to be quite busy!

I woke up this morning and decided to make a smoothie. I’ve been into healthy eating recently and I’m loving it. I can definitely detect a change in my overall mood and I generally feel fitter! So, what I love about smoothies is that they’re full of great nutrients AND they’re so easy to make! You can chuck in a variety of healthy ingredients and it just tastes of fresh fruit, so it’s a win-win really!

The ingredients I used:
1 orange, a handful of frozen strawberries, 1 frozen banana, spinach and almond milk! (I also added some chia seeds and raspberries on top but that’s optional!)

The fact there’s spinach in it might put you off (I get it), but you honestly can’t taste the spinach because it’s overpowered by the fruit – so you’re basically adding all the good greens without even having to taste them!

It was a great, refreshing start to my day, filling my body with plenty of nutrients and I’d definitely recommend it. I don’t know why, but having a healthy start to the day makes me feel more motivated as well as improving my overall mood!
